What you can do at Apsley

Apsley Shooting School offers:
  • Partridge, pheasant, grouse simulated drives
  • A course of six lessons for the price of five
  • A summer season ticket from March through to the end of August, for the same hourly slot each week (plus a special low rate for the cartridges and clays actually used)

David Olive

David Olive has many years of experience as a full time instructor. A former England-class clay competitor himself, and regarded as one the the top game shots in the country, David was originally taught how to instruct by Percy Stanbury, Michael and Allan Rose and John Mayo over a five year period.

David Olive’s style of shooting is easily recognised - it is neat and effective.

Gun fitting

If you are still using your gun as it arrived new in its box, or if you inherited a gun, you will be surprised how much difference proper fitting makes.

 How to find us

The shooting grounds are located to the east of Andover, not far from the A303. The Apsley estate is on the B3400.

From the east, come in on the B3400, go through the village of Hurstbourne Priors and turn next right

From the west, join the B3400 at the Twinings roundabout, and turn left into the Apsley estate after about 3 miles

Turn into the Apsley estate, and take the first left into the shooting grounds
